A Quiet Tribute to Warner Saunders
Long before The Common Ground Dispatch, there was a television program in Chicago called Common Ground, hosted by journalist Warner Saunders.
As a teenager, I watched Saunders bring people and conversations together with a warmth, curiosity, and humanity that stayed with me.
I couldn’t have known then how deeply those moments might influence the way I would come to see the world.
Sometimes people touch our lives without ever knowing the difference they’ve made.
Warner Saunders was one of those people for me.
With gratitude for the seeds you planted.
